AYRSHIRE COLLIE BITCHES
Many thanks to the officers and committee of Ayrshire Collie Club for the honour of judging bitches at your championship show 2022. Thankyou to all the exhibitors for an entry of quality bitches which was a to judge. The 2nd time I have judged with the well known Geoff Duffield, (who knows in the future we may make a hat trick).
For BIS , with two newly crowned champions before us, after much discussion we agreed the bitch should go forward for BIS , and the newly crowned cc winning male Res BIS and BOSIS. On the referee’s decision BPIS was Sea Dreamers Gracy Love and BVIS agreed by us was Telforth Sweet Dreams to Corisian JW. Well done to all the winners on what was a lovely well run show .

1ST TIPPER’S GATAJ ISLA BLUE AT TIGANLEA, 6 month B/M, lovely shape to this puppy who stood and showed on a loose lead. Nice head pattern, clean stop, ear set could be tighter but it did not detract overall. Correct size for age and has nice bone, she moved well. Coat is a nice clear colour and was well presented
2nd TURNERS DELFLUVIA BLUE RAINE FOR PAULARA, 7 month B/M who has everything in the right place just needs to be more of her. Balanced head, sweet dark well set eyes, neat ears which she showed well, lovely shape and all in proportion, in good coat for age which is a lovely silver colour, just needs to settle on the move,

1ST JOHNSON’S SEA DREAMERS GRACY LOVE; 10 month S/W, Lovely outline with substance and good bone, yet still feminine throughout. Correct forechest and layback of shoulder, good reach of neck and length of back, well bent stifles and neat feet. Balanced head, lovely moulding to foreface, well set dark eyes and neat ears which she knew how to use. Moved steadily, although a little close behind, her front movement was straight and true. In full coat which was well presented, BPB and evntually Best Puppy in Show on the referee’s decision
2nd LLEWELLYN’S AVONFAIR SECRET LOVE LETTER TO SALSINA; 10 month S/W, close up to winner where similar remarks apply . Glamorous bitch in lovely coat and condition, feminine throughout and all in proportion. Nice head piece and lovely dark eye, just prefered the softness and moulding of foreface on the winner. Moved out well although needs to tighten on front movement.

1ST HOBKIRK’S CHANTIQUE SUGAR MOON; 13 month S/W, very flashy girl of nice size and shape, balanced head with neat ears which she showed well. Pretty expression although I would prefer a smaller more almond shaped eye. Moved ok from behind just needs to tighten in front movement . Well presented
2nd BLAIKIE’S KOURIKA DRESSED TO THRILL; 13 month tri, quality bitch with the most beautiful head and expression, just did not want to settle today. Feminine throughout and all in proportion, lovely reach of neck , well angulated front and rear, neat strong hocks . Moved well in places but did insist on disappearing behind her owners legs .

1ST TURNER’S PAULARA KEEP THE FAITH; 19 month S/W, Lovely headed bitch, well moulded in foreface, eyes are obliquely set, showed her ears non stop and has a sweet expression. Balanced outline, lovely reach of neck and well angulated at the rear, moved out well, just a tad loose in front. Well presented and handled.

2ND MAIN’S SCOTIABLUE BLACK NOLA; 23 month Tri, very petite although has a decent outline, sweet dark almond shaped eyes, correct stop but was reluctant to use her ears. Enough neck, well bent stifles, movement and presentation ok

1ST LOCKYER’S GATAJ GOOD TIME GIRL; 21 month S/W of lovely type, her head is balanced with enough stop, eyes are almond shaped and correctly placed, topped with neat ears altogether showing a lovely expression. Super reach of neck, correct length to height ratio, well bent stifles, moved well both coming and going, excellent presentation.
2ND TIPPER’S TIGANLEA TRUE HEARTS DESIRE; 22 month S/W who was close up to winner, just prefered the tighter ear set on 1st. All in proportion and feminine throughout, well angulated at the rear with good muscle tone. Moved well, shown in good coat and condition.

1ST MITCHELL’S SALSINA LOVE SONG AT AVONFAIR; 2 yr S/W, Lovely bitch who was beautifully presented. Balanced head with clean stop, nicely moulded foreface and sweet dark eyes, when she shows her ears has a lovely expression. Well arched neck, good length of back, well let down hocks, moved out soundly, a little unhappy with her surroundings at times but was well handled.
2nd LOCKYERS GATAJ HONEY BEE; 21 month S/W, another lovely bitch, splitting hairs between 1 and 2. richly coloured sable, also beautifully presented, not quite as feminine in head as the winner, but has a lovely expression. balanced outline with good bend of stifle and strong hocks, moved and showed well as always from this kennel.

1ST WALKER’S STARLENGA ALL ABOUT ME; 3 Yr Tri, my star of the day, love everything about her, she has the most super outline, has substance and bone but still retains her feminine charm. Balanced head , excellent moulding to foreface, sweet dark eyes, flat skull topped with neat ears which she knew how to use, soft yet cheeky expression which just adds to the appeal. Strong arched neck, correct layback of shoulder, good length to height ratio, well bent stifles and stands well on neat short hocks. Moved steadily and with a straight front which is lacking in so many. Despite no white collar she is so glamorous with a rich dark tan and was in super condition. I could not deny her the cc and her crowning one at that. Followed by Best in Show, Well done
2nd JONES & BLACKBURN’S ERJON EBONY JEWELS; 2 yr Tri, who also has a super outline and construction, ultra feminine and balanced. Pretty head , flat skull, enough stop, eyes are obliquely set and a lovely shape, with neat ears all enhanced her lovely expression. Well arched neck , correct lay back of shoulder , good length of back and well bent stifles . In hard muscular condition she moved freely and stood and showed on a loose lead. A quality bitch who just needs her furnishings to complete the picture. Res CC

1ST BROOKER’S PARIS VENISE DU BOIS DES AMAZONES FOR CORISIAN; 3 yr S/W; very glamorous bitch with an elegant outline, slightly shorter head piece so a tad more length needed to perfect her overall balance but a very pretty girl. Correctly placed stop , neat ears which she showed non stop. Super reach of neck, good depth of body and length of back, well bent stifles and neat hocks. Moved well front and rear, fitted coat with an abundance of frills and petticoats which was presented to perfection.
2ND BLAIKIES CH KOURIKA KOVER GIRL, 5 yr S/W she is also feminine with an elegant outline. Clean head, smooth moulded foreface, eyes are set obliquely, flat skull topped with neat ears. Reachy neck and good length of back , ribs are well sprung. Moved well coming and going, a quality bitch just not on top form today.

Lovely reach of neck, correct layback of shoulder and well bent stifles, she moved soundly both front and rear. In lovely condition and well handled . Best Veteran in Show, well done
